BMIS is a community voluntary group for men in Bridlington and the surrounding areas. it was noted that there was a lack of opportunities for men to get together, to talk about health and general men’s issues. Our aim is to be a safe meeting place for men to socialize with other men.
The group have their own building that is being slowly renovated and made into a safe, warm and comfortable environment for the members to enjoy. The premises consist of a games room, workshop, kitchen, office and chill out area.
We cater for men of all ages where they learn new or share existing skills, play games such as darts, dominoes, pool just sit and read or chat with others.
When you first come to The Shed, someone will show you around get to know you, helping you to decide what you would like to get out of joining.
Some people come to The Shed just for a chat and a cup of tea or to watch what other people are doing and to get out of their home for a while.
We also have a group called the BARMATES who are model train enthusiasts. They are part of BMIS and are constructing a model train layout upstairs. Meeting Tuesday evening 7 pm to 9 pm.
